This program brought campus departments together to formulate a common dialogue of practices in handling, identifying and preventing aggressive behavior.

The responses we have received to our Aggression Management training programs and the work we are now doing to implement the Critical Aggression Prevention System we call CAPS consistently confirm several key themes:
• other methods of attempting to prevent violence either do not work or are reactive rather than preventative,

• the aggression management tools and techniques offered by the
Center for Aggression Management are viewed as new information, even a "New Way of Thinking", that will dramatically alter the effectiveness of the threat assessment, security and other personnel trained, and

• the systematic approach to implementing aggression management through the
CAPS is sorely needed in today's organizations.
